Arjav Diamonds' position today is the result of a strong family commitment to the diamond industry spanning three generations. Vasantlal Mehta founded Blue Star India in Mumbai in 1966. Over the next fifteen years, he led his three sons Akshay, Anuj and Ashit into the industry. While Akshay and Anuj focused on the Indian operations, their younger brother Ashit established Arjav Diamonds NV in Antwerp in 1981. Arjav Diamonds covers three core business line-rough distribution, polished manufacturing and polished marketing.

Over the years, Arjav Diamonds has become one of the most significant rough diamond distributors in the world in terms of both scope and scale. Over the past 50 years, our experience with all types of rough has given us a unique knowledge of the products, offering us an edge with regards to both our rough distribution and manufacturing.
